Clarification in Sandhyavandhanam

Respected Sri NVS swamin ,
Namaskarams.
Request for your advice on the following .
Argyam (offered during sandyavandhanam)which, gets collected in thambalam , can it be dispersed in pots of plants in house. ( I live in a flat system accomodation.) Parden me if it is a silly doubt, the other alternative is to discard in wash basin sinks . Which is more appropriate from sastra vidhi point of view ?
